Meet Bart Jonker - Mr. Jonker joined ChoiceOne in 2017 as Vice President, Risk Management. He has over 35 years of experience in Michigan banking, from small community banks to large regional institutions, primarily in compliance and risk management roles. Jonker holds certifications from the Institute of Certified Bankers (CRCM – Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, as of 2001) and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (CAMS – Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, as of 2010). 

Mr. Jonker has a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University, Allendale. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) National Compliance School, Norman, Oklahoma, the ABA’s National Graduate Compliance School, Indianapolis, Indiana and the Michigan Bankers Association Bank Compliance Institute, Lansing. 

Active in his community, Mr. Jonker sits on the Lakeshore Fair Housing Center Advisory Board. He is the Secretary-Treasurer and founding Board Member of the Legends Performing Arts Association, an Open Class representative for the Drum Corps International Board Consortium and Treasurer and founding Board Member of the Devonwood Condominium Association, Inc.
