ChoiceOne Bank (NASDAQ: COFS) (“ChoiceOne”) will host two Community Shred Days in 2025. These events are free to the public and will take place in the parking lots of the Sparta and Downtown Lapeer ChoiceOne Bank offices.
“We are pleased to offer two shredding events to our communities this year,” said ChoiceOne President Michael J. Burke, Jr. “This is the 19th consecutive year the Bank has hosted Free Community Shred Day events. It’s important, for your security and that of your family, to have confidential documents shredded or destroyed to protect your identity.”
ChoiceOne Community Shred Days will take place from 9 a.m. until noon, or until the truck is full.
Bring your private information such as tax forms, statements and bills in bags and boxes. Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is lifted, and the contents are dropped into the mobile shredding truck. Each 96-gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred. It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Items you will need to remove include compact discs, floppy disks, plastic bags, magazines, and newspapers. Please limit paperwork to be shredded to five Bankers boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service.
