ChoiceOne Bank 125th Anniversary - Customer Appreciation Day on Sept 6

ChoiceOne Bank 125th Anniversary - Customer Appreciation Day on Sept 6

ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc., and ChoiceOne Bank celebrates 125 years in business as a Michigan community bank, on September 5. ChoiceOne Bank has been dedicated to providing exceptional financial solutions, personalized services, and unwavering commitment to their customers’ financial goals since 1898.

“It is a pleasure to witness our 125th Anniversary this year, and celebrate our official opening date,” said ChoiceOne CEO Kelly Potes. “Although we have been celebrating our Anniversary throughout the year, September 5 is the day we incorporated as a community bank. Over the years, ChoiceOne has made major transformations to the services we offer and broadened the number of communities we now serve across Michigan. With a vision to provide superior service, quality advice and show utmost respect to everyone we meet, we are well on our way to celebrating many more historical events.”

As a part of the anniversary celebrations, the Bank will host a Customer Appreciation Day at all branch offices on September 6. Customers can enjoy celebratory cookies along with coffee. Throughout the week, visitors can enter to win prize baskets at each branch location. On Monday, September 11, each branch office will select two winners – one basket with a $100 gift card and ChoiceOne gifts and another basket with a $25 gift card and ChoiceOne gifts.

“Reflecting on the last 125 years and seeing the progress ChoiceOne has made in the communities we serve, is truly remarkable,” said ChoiceOne CEO Kelly Potes. “Our history emphasizes the help we have provided the families, farmers, and businesses in our communities. In addition, the changes we have made in technology over the years has also been at the forefront of our progress. From our first branch offices where horse and buggies were still the norm, to our introduction of ATMs and debit cards, to our current ability to conduct banking online, we have always fostered innovation. ChoiceOne has kindled a special culture, one that is driven by exceptional customer service, industry-leading technology and a deep understanding and caring for our communities.”

ChoiceOne has built a reputation for taking the lead throughout its history in providing innovative and personalized service, making banking convenient and accessible for customers. Today, customers rely on the Bank’s digital banking platform including mobile banking, mobile deposits, innovative payroll solutions, online loan applications, and a digital mobile savings tool. These advances support customers’ needs for high-speed convenience and best-in-class financial solutions, while still maintaining the ability to connect and build long-term personal relationships. ChoiceOne Bank will continue to embrace emerging technologies to provide cutting-edge financial solutions which empower customers in their financial journey.

“Looking back, the roots of ChoiceOne Bank run deep and wide with the incorporation of Sparta State Bank in 1898,” explained ChoiceOne President Michael J. Burke, Jr. “Throughout the years, the Bank has grown, acquired other local banks, changed its name and rebranded, all to become one remarkable, community bank with a vision to be the best bank in Michigan. As we review our progress today, we are truly seeing our vision unfold. We remain focused on helping our customers succeed and our communities thrive.”

What started as a centralized West Michigan bank has now expanded its footprint across the state. ChoiceOne continues to be deeply committed to the communities it serves and will remain steady as it seeks to create a positive impact on local communities. Through charitable programs, volunteer efforts and support for local businesses, the Bank has contributed to the prosperity and financial wellness for countless lives across Michigan and will continue to do so in the future.
